The MSTCV Series is a modular stackable electro-hydraulic one-way throttle valve designed for precise flow control in hydraulic systems. This compact, sandwich-type valve combines the functions of a throttle valve and a check valve with solenoid-operated control, enabling automated flow regulation in both directions of hydraulic circuit operation.
Function | Description |
|---|---|
Throttle Control | Provides adjustable flow restriction to control actuator speed |
One-Way Check | Allows free flow in one direction while restricting flow in the opposite direction |
Electro-Hydraulic Operation | Solenoid coil enables remote/automated switching of valve states |
Modular Stacking | NG6/Cetop 3, NG10/Cetop 5 mounting pattern for easy integration with other stack valves |
Free Flow Direction: Hydraulic fluid passes through the check valve with minimal pressure drop, allowing rapid actuator movement in one direction
Controlled Flow Direction: When the solenoid is energized, the throttle valve opens to a preset adjustable position, restricting flow and controlling actuator speed in the reverse direction
Fail-Safe Position: When de-energized, the valve returns to its default state (normally closed or normally open, depending on configuration)
1. Injection Molding Machines
Controls mold opening/closing speeds to prevent shock and damage
Ensures smooth ejector pin movement with adjustable return speed
2. Machine Tools
Regulates rapid traverse vs. working feed rates in hydraulic slides
Provides smooth deceleration at stroke ends to eliminate mechanical impact
3. Mobile Hydraulic Equipment
Manages boom/arm lowering speeds on excavators and cranes
Prevents uncontrolled descent of heavy loads through meter-out control
4. Press Machinery
Controls pressing speed and return stroke independently
Enables dwell time adjustment through precise flow limitation
5. Material Handling Systems
Regulates conveyor lift/lower speeds in automated warehouses
Provides soft start/stop for hydraulic elevators and lifting platforms
Scenario A: Dual-Speed Hydraulic Cylinder Circuit
Configuration: MSTCV mounted between directional valve and cylinder
Operation:
- Extend: Free flow through check valve → Rapid advance
- Retract: Solenoid ON → Throttled flow → Controlled return speed
Benefit: Eliminates need for dual pump or complex valving arrangementsScenario B: Meter-Out Control for Load Holding
Application: Vertical hydraulic press with heavy upper platen
Function: Prevents load drop when directional valve centers
Advantage: Throttle on outlet side maintains back pressure for stabilityScenario C: Automated Production Line Integration
Integration: PLC-controlled solenoid enables two-speed operation
Speed 1: Solenoid OFF → Fast approach (check valve bypass)
Speed 2: Solenoid ON → Slow working feed (throttle active)
Result: Cycle time optimization with process-appropriate speedsSpace-Efficient Design: Eliminates need for separate inline valves and associated plumbing
Leak-Free Stacking: Precision-machined mounting surfaces with O-ring seals
Adjustable Response: Knob-type throttle adjustment with locking mechanism prevents drift
Standardized Interface: Compatible with global NG6/Cetop 3/D03 modular valve standards
Multiple Voltage Options: Available in 12V DC, 24V DC, 110V AC, and 220V AC coil configurations
Mounting Position: May be installed in any orientation; vertical stacking recommended for compact manifold design
Flow Direction: Arrow markings indicate preferred free-flow direction
Adjustment Access: Ensure knob accessibility for in-service flow rate modifications
Electrical Connection: DIN 43650 connector standard; verify voltage compatibility before energization
This valve is ideal for engineers seeking to combine flow control flexibility with space-saving modular architecture in modern hydraulic power units.
